Food Plant Modulars offers a unique
alternative system to "spiral" type freezers, to simplify belt drivers and
uneven circular turning of belts and product and to improve air
circulation. The universal I.Q.F. Freezer for packaged or loose
product with straight belts, provides for a turning action of the product
at the end of each belt. This controlled, gradual turn improves the
uniformity of freezing by variation in all sides of the product exposed to
the air stream and, at each pass, the product is completely turned over or
reversed top to bottom, to afford even more freezing, and eliminates
sticking to belts.
The belt action of the universal
freezer is particularly advantageous for pre-boxed products since the air
blast over the packages is improved as the position of the boxed product
is reversed at each turn. Also, the cradling action of the curved
belt section prevents uneven tumbling and possible dislocation of cartons
or boxes as they proceed along the belts.
In freezing of small, unpackaged
I.Q.F. products, such as shrimp, fish fillets, chicken parts, or other
small products, the curved belt section provides for the turning of the
product and reversing of its top and bottom sides as it passes from one
belt to the other. Also, this turning action and upward movement of
the bottom portion of the belt prevents the usual sticking to the bottom
sides of the belts as the turn transitions is made.
The refrigeration coils in the
Universal I.Q.F. freezer are located at the bottom with the in feed at the
top of the freezer. The in feed belt can be used for boxes, with
slight modifications, or , in the case of I.Q.F. product, which must be
separated, this in feed belt can be fed by an inclined conveyor.
All units are pre-wired, with
lighting and electric panels, ready for hook-up to Owner's electric and
water source. While the evaporator coils are furnished and installed
in the freezer, the refrigeration system with compressors, condenser, etc.
can also be furnished on a separate skid, unless the Owner's plant has the
required refrigeration capacity.
*All units are built to meet or
exceed U.S.D.A. or W.H.O standards.
*The Modulars are designed so that
they may be used in existing or new structures, or on simple foundations
as self-contained building with efficient insulation and all weather
roofing.
