As the cold air blast blows upward through a single belt
instead of the usual double belt, it allows the lowest air
temperature from the coils to reach the product more quickly.
|
 |
It provides for less friction through the single belt, thereby
providing more efficient air suspension of the product.
|
 |
The “Ripple-Flo” system has curvatures in the belt that
“tumble” the product to prevent sticking and to increase
cold air exposure to all product surfaces. Not only is the blast
cold air passing through only one belt, the “tumbling”
process is accomplished by designing the single continuous belt
to follow the belt guides in the curved rise and fall of the “humps”
that facilitate rapid freezing. This also allows for low
resistance and smooth operation in belt travel.

As there are no other “rollers” at the belt sides where
they are supported and guided, no lubrication is necessary. The
U.H.M.W. belt guides eliminate a host of belt parts and
maintenance problems. |
